Relaxed, Revived and Thankful. That pretty much sums up our fabulous weekend away. We opted to just drive about an hour out of town to this gorgeous B&B, The Willow Grove Inn. It has been completed renovated, and recently reopened last October. Someone spent a great deal of time, money, and thought when they redid this B&B. Equipped with many cottages and a 5 star restaurant and pub. It was amazing!
This is a view of the original house, circa the late 1700s, and then the new attached restaurant and kitchen. The food was as breathtaking as the beautiful home. We ate like kings and queens this weekend, in honor of Will and Kate, wink, wink!
Here is the view from our cottage, and below is Chris standing on the warp around front porch. I couldn’t help myself, and on Sunday I walked around the grounds and took some photos. Such a special place, and I hope we get to go back sometime soon. If only to have another fancy dinner.
Chris and I got some much needed rest and relaxation. I think it had been over two years since we have gotten away for an entire weekend. We shopped in a nearby downtown. Tried some fabulous chocolates, had lunch at a fund little restaurant, and even test drove a minivan. I know, I know!! I am still hesitant to buy one, but they are really nice inside.
After a fabulous Sunday brunch complete with a “brick of french toast” (which might have been one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten) we headed home. The beloved Uncle Shawn and Aunt Rebecca had taken off work on Friday and watched the kiddos for an entire weekend. We were so thankful! Love you guys!
Now, back to the normalcy of life, preschool, play dates, and sweet baby hugs.
